Frequently Asked Questions:
Who is welcome here?
We are an inclusive, diverse and energetic community. God loves you unconditionally and we, in turn, welcome all people to this sacred place.
What do I need to know about worhip?
We welcome you to worship. We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday at 8 a.m. (service lasts 45-50 minutes), 9 a.m. (service lasts about an hour) and 11:15, which is a Choral Eucharist (lasts about 75 minutes). Other services take place during the week. Check out our worship page for weekday services and our summer schedule.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome at all our services. There’s a special spot for young children in the cathedral if they choose. It has a soft mat, quiet toys, crafts and a small table. In addition, we offer Children’s Chapel during the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. This is a special time for kids up to fifth grade to enjoy a special lesson and activity just for them. Sunday school for children Pre-K through sisth grade and youth group for grades seven through twelve meets at 10:10 a.m. on Sundays during the fall, winter and spring.
Who may receive Communion?
All are welcome to come forward to receive communion at Trinity Cathedral. We believe that we encounter the fullness of the sacrament of Holy Eucharist through the grace we receive at baptism. We hope that if you feel drawn to communion, you will follow up with a conversation about baptism!
Where do I park?
Parking is available in our lot behind the church (enter from Prospect Ave). Parking is free during worship services. The address for the parking lot is 2307 Prospect Ave., Cleveland 44115. We have handicap accessibility to the cathedral (i.e. automatic door openers, no stairs).
What should I wear?
You will find people dressed very casually (i.e., jeans, T-shirts), more formally and a great variety in between. Almost everyone dresses more casually in summer. Just be yourself. You’ll fit in!
