The Dean’s Forum: Social Justice and the General Convention

How did last summer’s General Convention of the Episcopal Church address social justice issues? Eva Warren is a sociologist of Race and Health, and a PhD Candidate student at Ohio State who was an Ohio deputy to convention…and just happened to be the Chair of the Social Justice committee. Eva will join Dean Owens to review how the General Convention addressed issues of equality and justice facing our nation.
In these conversational sessions, Dean Owens, a graduate of UNC – Chapel Hill and Yale Divinity School, weaves together research and personal anecdotes to speak on a variety of topics including faith, ethics, art, science, education and civics. He is occasionally joined by guest speakers from our community or abroad.
