Contrary to popular belief, the parables of Jesus are not simple stories, with simple messages, originally intended for simple people. Rather, they are puzzling stories, intended to provoke listeners into thinking and asking questions. The gospel writers themselves struggled to make sense of the parables.

This Advent, engage in conversation with Dr. Bob Fowler and the Rev. Adrienne Koch to explore how we might grasp these challenging stories of Jesus, and join Jesus’ followers in responding to his challenge.
