Trinity Nominations: Servant Leadership in Action

Time after time, Jesus shows us a vision of leadership that changes the world not through the use of worldly power, but through compassion, love, and humble service. Servant Leadership is one of God’s great gifts to the world: it’s the way that Jesus taught and something to which we are also called.

How might you be called to serve in leadership at Trinity.? As we consider upcoming congregational elections, I’d like to invite you to consider if you – or someone you know and respect – might be interested in exploring servant leadership at Trinity. This can take many forms, from service on administrative committees, to leading a Cathedral Circle (small group), to being nominated for Vestry or next year’s Nominating Committee.

Nominations for next year’s Vestry and Nominating Committee are now open, and will be open through the end of October. You can learn more, or submit a name, here.  Once the nomination season has closed, the Nominating Committee will consider needs, available positions, and prepare a ballot for our Annual Meeting in early February.

Jesus has shown us what the gift of leadership can look like. It takes many forms, but above all is an act of service rooted in faithfulness and love.
