The Coffee Shop Returns!
When Trinity Commons was envisioned more than two decades ago, we wisely created a space for a coffee shop to serve as the hearth and heartbeat of the building. Throughout the week folks from the university and community have walked through our doors to study, grab lunch or a latte, or spend time in conversation. And on Sundays, Café Ah-Roma was a vital space for fellowship and even communion as Trinity parents grabbed coffee together or friends found a space to catch up.
I’m thrilled to announce that Café Ah-Roma will be opening again on Sunday mornings, starting on September 8th. As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a great many businesses to reduce hours or close altogether, and our proximity to Cleveland State only amplified its impact on Trinity Commons as student activities changed. That has meant that Sunday Mornings weren’t possible for the Café until now, but I am delighted to see its return.
Café Ah-Roma will open from about 8 until 1 or 2 on Sundays, depending upon the traffic they see, so I hope you will plan to grab coffee or a muffin and spend time catching up with friends on Sunday mornings! Let’s do what we can to support the Café as good neighbors, but also because it helps us to fulfill our mission (and enjoy Sundays that much more).
After all, doesn’t everything go a little better with coffee?
Faithfully,
The Very Rev. Bernard J. Owens
