The Proposed Feast of Thurgood Marshall

The Episcopal Diocese of Washington has initiated a resolution to include Thurgood Marshall, former Supreme Court Justice and civil rights leader, in the Episcopal Church's liturgical calendar.

At Trinity Cathedral, we will support this recognition of Marshall by observing the May 14 Evensong in his memory. The date proposed for Marshall's feast is May 17, the anniversary of his victory in the landmark desegregation case Brown vs. Board of Education. View the Trinity Worship Schedule.

2008 United Thank Offering

On Mother's Day, May 11, Trinity Cathedral will participate in the Episcopal Church's United Thank Offering (UTO) Campaign. Take home a blue box, available in the promenade, and drop in a coin or two every time you're grateful. Or, plan to make an offering at church on May 11. Questions? This year Pentecost falls on Sunday, May 11. Wear red to celebrate the fire of the spirit! Pentecost is also a traditional day for the sacrament of baptism; if you would like to know more, please talk with a member of the clergy.
