Dr. Yacoobi is Executive Director of the Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL), an Afghan women-led NGO she founded in 1995. The organization was established to provide teacher training to Afghan women, to support education for boys and girls, and to provide health education to women and children.

Sunday Forum on Mozart and Duruflé A forum by Canon Daniel Hathaway, presented on Sunday March. 9, 2008.
Canon Hathaway, presented a forum discussing the differences in approach the two composers took in setting a traditional liturgical form to music.
The Mozart Requiem was left unfinished at the time of the composer's death, and the work was completed by a student, Franz Süssmeyer. Robert Levin, professor of music at Harvard, has studied the work since his undergraduate days, and published his own completion of the work for the Mozart bicentennial in 1991. The Good Friday concert will use Levin's version of the piece.

Lois Huey-Heck, co-author of The Spirituality of Art. Huey-Heck is an artist whose work explores art as a mediator of the inner life, both spiritual and psychological. She is acting publisher for Wood Lake Books in Canada, the newly appointed art critic for The Christian Century, and in training to be a spiritual director. She and Jim Kalnin, her husband/co-author, live and make art in an old country church in Oyama, British Columbia.
