The Rev. Kurt C. Wiesner
Canon for Congregational Life
The Rev. Kurt C. Wiesner is the Canon for Congregational Life at Trinity Cathedral. He oversees Newcomer Ministry, Pastoral Care, and the Youth and Young Adult programs at Trinity. He has been at Trinity since June 2003, and the community celebrated his ordination to the priesthood in June 2003. Before coming to Trinity, he was a Resident Chaplain at the Cleveland Clinic and also served as the Youth Minister at Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin, Texas.
Kurt has a passion for exploring the intersection of Popular Culture with Ethics and Religion, focusing on a wide variety of materials including the music of U2 and Live, the Matrix movies, the Harry Potter Books, and televison shows The Simpsons and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Kurt graduated from The Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in 1998, and now lives in Ohio City with his wife Darlene Perez Wiesner and their two crazy cats.
Trinity Cathedral is the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio.
