He was also Chaplain to the Cathedral School for Boys and the Children's Cancer Research Center in San Francisco.

Bishop Hollingsworth has held many positions of leadership within the Episcopal Church and been active in a variety of community ministries, including founding Epiphany at Sea, a sea education experience for inner-city elementary school students from the Epiphany School, Boston. Bishop Hollingsworth holds a Master of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College.
