John Church

Interim Chief Operating Officer

John Church became Trinity's interim chief operating officer in April 2010. When he was appointed, the Dean said, "We are delighted that John, who has been a part of the Trinity community for two and a half years, feels called to leave his position on the Vestry in order to continue his ministry at Trinity in this capacity."

John comes to Trinity from a long career in education and organizational management. Most recently, until his retirement in 2004, he was superintendent of Polaris Career Center in Middleburg Heights. Prior to that, he was assistant superintendent and a middle school principal in the Olmsted Falls City Schools.

Since retirement, John has served in a variety of consulting capacities and interim positions with educational and non-profit organizations in northeast Ohio. He holds a B.S. in education from The Ohio State University and a master of education from Cleveland State University. John and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Bay Village. They have a son who lives in San Diego and a daughter who lives in France.
